• Probably old news, but has this happened to you? (made an Xbox purchase for your PC)

    Hey all,

Well, I created my LIVE account over the weekend, and due to a quite
confusing interface, I managed to purchase the Xbox version of Broken
Steel and NOT the PC version. Once I figured out my error, I was able
to purchase and download The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage
successfully. However, resolving my initial error turned out to be
    quite a hassle!

I spent a LOT of time explaining my situation multiple times to the
CSR. He just couldn't seem to understand that I'd made a simple and understandable error and all that was needed was a void on the
previous transaction and a refund of my points. The CSR was not very
sharp at all and didn't seem to be able to understand what I was
trying to convey. No language barrier issues, just a real lack of
    basic comprehension.

Finally, I was put on hold for a supervisor named Alex who, at first,
tried to stonewall me a little bit on the refund. However, I didn't
back down (but didn't raise my voice and used no foul language) and he
then quickly agreed to refund my points. They appeared almost
instantly on My Account, although I was still unable to void the
original purchase from my Purchase History.

After I thanked Alex profusely for doing the right thing, he admitted
that this type of user error happens ALL THE TIME. However, no steps
have been taken to add any kind of option to cancel purchases through
the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. I think it's lazy and more than a little
sleazy to let such an obvious customer service option remain
unavailable, especially since doing so is basically saying that you're
counting on your customer to make financial errors in your favor while
    offering no recourse.

I'm going to send an e-mail about this issue but I was wondering if
anyone had a snail mail address to which I could also send a real
    letter.

I didn't purchase an Xbox version but for a long time I couldn't figure out HOW
to purchase the PC version. I gave up and only made the purchase after
    coming
back to try again a week or so later. I think the whole set up is terrible.

    Sorry no.
