• Which expansion to buy first?

    Hey all,

I just reached lvl 17 and am having a great time! However, I know
that there's only three more character levels I can gain and I've only
done the first three of the main quests and probably less than half of
    the side ones.

I'm assuming I can install the expansions without impacting my
progress? Which one(s) should I start with?

Also, is the House: My First Laboratory worth the caps? I can't see
the usefulness of the Jukebox or Nuka-Cola machine since caps are
    still not quite that plentiful.

Long before I reached 17th level I found I had far more caps than I
could ever use. I normally bought the theme and furnishings when I had
more to trade in then Moira had available in caps. I also saved a
fortune, and improved my weapons and armor far beyond what was normally available by building my Repair up quickly. Very soon I was able to
merge two weapons into one more valuable then their individual values.
I bought the add-on CD with Operation Anchorage and The Pitt and they
seem to work fine. I just ran through The Pitt with a character about
your level and he ran into some challenges, but nothing he couldn't
handle with some thinking. I am not sure about Operation Anchorage as
the time I ran through it my character already had power armor skill.
The first part doesn't require anything special but the end you are
wearing power armor and I don't know if the mod automatically takes care
    of that for you.
Personally, I thought the Operation Anchorage was more interesting and I didn't like the end of The Pitt.

The general overall opinion is that 'The Pitt' is better than
    'Operation Anchorage'.
They can be played at any time..but the most recent 'Broken Steel'
can only be played after you have finished the main quest as
    it continues on from that.
There is at least one other DLC to come...I know of no announcement
Re. a full new game size expansion.. tho Broken Steel is said to be big.
It does add a few extra's to the main game overall. I believe it lets you
    get to higher levels.
So with your current state of play it might be interesting to finish of the Main Quest with
    Broken Steel installed .

OA gives you the two best items in the game but has a dull story and
    repetitve action..

BS is large but don't get it till you've finished the main quest and
    reached level 20.

    The Pitt is soso.

The two upcoming DLCs look awsum.
