• Why are enemies invisible even though I can see much further than where they are?!

    Hey all,

Trying to finish the Blood Ties quest and I'm finding one aspect of
the game that's really chapping my ass. Enemies beyond a certain
distance will not resolve onscreen, even thought they're on my radar
AND I can see for miles beyond them. Is there some game setting I can
alter or is this, IMHO, a really sad programming decision to always
give the enemy the advantage in open country?

It reminds me of how the ranged attackers in D3 could take you out
    from offscreen. GRR!

Otherwise, I'm really getting into the game in all other aspects.

Oh, one other question: I've been carrying around the Food Sanitizer
for quite awhile, but how do I use on Radroach Meat and such?

If you remove the food sanitizer, you'll get a message saying that food is
no longer being sanitized, I think it works automatically.

I had the same problem and couldn't find any setting for that. Instead, whenever
I got attacked by an "invisible" enemy, I just pulled my hunting rifle and aimed
    with VATS.

I don't seem to have that problem. I can always see them before they
see me. Perhaps increasing your perception rating will assist.

Just carry it. It works automatically. I'm not sure what it does
exactly but I think it improves the number of hit points each piece of
    food restores.
