• Fallout 3 just feels too BIG, and I wander aimlessly. Tactics?

    Hey all,

A good friend gave me this game as a gift and I tried playing it a
couple of times. I managed to make it outside after consulting some
online walkthroughs, but after that I came to be overwhelmed by the
size & complexity of the game. It feels to me like the learning curve
is really steep right at the start, and I'm having a hard time just
figuring out how to do basic stuff.

I'm much more comfortable with a linear play style, and this game
seems to go totally against that. I didn't find out until last night
that you don't defuse the bomb in Megaton until much later in the
game. So why give me the quest so far in advance?

Also, the combat and conversation interfaces are really confusing, the conversation one being particularly irritating to me because of all
the repetition required. I'd like to play the game and enjoy it, but
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a couple good websites that
have very simple tips & tricks that I can learn to make the game more
    fun.

Hmm..... It actually felt kind of small to me. All those tunnels
    didn't help much.

WE seem to have forgotten to mention that by switching out of the
game to the menu & selecting 'Gameplay' you can set the difficulty
level from 'very easy ......thu to........very hard'
We can change this at any time....I think it only alters the difficulty of
    the combat.

But I still recommend those Console gained Frag Grenades :)
