    If the game is sitting on some server and players are in effect
    renting it, then how could everyone have different mods installed? I
    dout that the service would allow uploads. As for lag, check out
    Quake KLive, I play it with no lag at all.

    Quake live runs locally on your PC. What ID did is to make downloading
    and playing very easy, and most stuff happen on the background. What
    OnLive plans is to run everything on the server side and transfer control signals up, sounds and visuals down. I don't know how exactly they are
    hoping to transfer the screen contents without adding seconds of delays.
