    the guy that owns the saloon, i cant remember his name. starts with an M i believe. he gives you a simple quest instead of paying the 100 caps (who
    has that kinda money!). well, after hte quest he is nowhere to be found. where is he!

    I never talked to Moriarty as I was too busy exploring in the early
    part. You should have over 100 caps when you reach Megaton if you loot
    all the guards and other places in the Vault before you leave. You
    don't need to talk to Moriarty to continue the quest as you will meet
    other people later on that Moriarty would have directed you to.

    He was still around when I got back from the quest where you find the
    junkie for the money that she owes Moriarty. But you don't have to give
    him the money for the info (just keep it), his computer has the info you
    need.
