  • [F3] A spectacular death!

    I had a lot of useless items so I loaded up and took them to Moira
    Brown, but she was out of caps and I didn't need anything repaired, so
    I went out the front of Megaton. No caravan merchant was there, so I
    thought I would fast-travel to other places where the caravan
    merchants stop.

    I arrived at Canterbury Commons, and saw a caravan leaving, wandering
    off down the road. I hurried to catch up with them, but as I was
    halfway there, they were attacked. It was Lucky Harith, and he and his
    Caravan Guard ran towards the attackers, shooting.

    As I watched, a grenade or something fell at Lucky Harith's feet, and
    blew him apart! His head and one arm flew up in the air, his leg flew
    towards the south, and another body part flew north.

    I've been wishing we had an option to switch off the extreme violence,
    but I have to admit -- that was pretty spectacular! I wouldn't have
    missed it for the world.

    It was my fault, as well. My presence must have triggered off the
    attack. And it was my Dad's fault as well - he chose the Perk "Bloody
    Mess".

    I saved the game and went on without Lucky Harith, but *with* all the
    goods from one of his body parts, and his Pack Brahmin. The only thing
    I can't figure out is:- Why do they call him "Lucky" Harith???

    I just found the Alien Blaster, reminds me of little cricket from Men In Black! Kill supermutants with one shot sometimes.

    I do that with a hunting rifle all the time. My favorite is still
    hitting super mutants with the scoped .44 and watching one of their legs
    blow off after hitting them in the head. Or the one time I hit a Talon company merc in the head with a shotgun blast and he just stood there
    with bits of his head flying in all directions minutes later.

    I made the shiskebab, and I think that that's the best laugh so far. My mate raves about the combat shotgun.
