The Simpsons has six main cast members: Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, and Harry Shearer. Castellaneta voices Homer Simpson, Grampa Simpson, Krusty the Clown, Groundskeeper Willie, Mayor Quimby, Barney Gumble, and other adult, male characters.[54] Julie Kavner voices Marge Simpson and Patty and Selma, as well as several minor characters.[54] Castellaneta and Kavner had been a part of The Tracey Ullman Show cast and were given the parts so that new actors would not be needed.[55] Cartwright voices Bart Simpson, Nelson Muntz, Ralph Wiggum and other children.[54] Smith, the voice of Lisa Simpson, is the only cast member who regularly voices only one character, although she occasionally plays other episodic characters.[54] The producers decided to hold casting for the roles of Bart and Lisa. Smith had initially been asked to audition for the role of Bart, but casting director Bonita Pietila believed her voice was too high,[56] so she was given the role of Lisa instead.[57] Cartwright was originally brought in to voice Lisa, but upon arriving at the audition, she found that Lisa was simply described as the "middle child" and at the time did not have much personality. Cartwright became more interested in the role of Bart, who was described as "devious, underachieving, school-hating, irreverent, [and] clever".[58] Groening let her try out for the part instead, and upon hearing her read, gave her the job on the spot.[59] Cartwright is the only one of the six main Simpsons cast members who had been professionally trained in voice acting prior to working on the show.[49] Azaria and Shearer do not voice members of the title family, but play a majority of the male townspeople. Azaria, who has been a part of the main voice cast since the second season in one episode "Old Money" and then perpetually part of the regular main voice cast since the third season, voices recurring characters such as Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon and Professor Frink. Shearer provides voices for Mr. Burns, Mr. Smithers, Principal Skinner, Ned Flanders, Reverend Lovejoy and formerly Dr. Hibbert.[54] Every main cast member has won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance.[60][61]

The Simpsons writers thrive when it comes to predicting sporting events and their outcomes, but like any good sports gambler, not everyone wins, guesses or predicts right every time. In the 1990s, the series wrote in three consecutive Super Bowl predictions that each came true. Unfortunately, that prediction streak came to end when Homer (Dan Castellaneta) watches the Seattle Seahawks win against the Denver Broncos in a Super Bowl game. These two teams did end up playing against each other in Super Bowl XLVIII, but while Homer watched the Broncos triumph, in real life it was the Seahawks who took it all home.
The Simpsons Movie was a cultural phenomenon. Fans everywhere received the news of an official Simpsons feature film with cautious excitement. While it might have been somewhat divisive amongst the most die-hard Simpsons fans, it undeniably marked a before and after for the show. This is definitely one of the more shocking The Simpsons predictions that came true.
The guide includes every prediction from The Simpsons that has come true in the real world. The guide shows 40 predictions including the FIFA soccer scandal, FaceTime, smartwatches, faulty voting machines and even mutant tomatoes and three-eyed fish.
It's interesting to note that some of the predictions from The Simpsons that were shown in the 1990s have just now come true in the later 2000s. For example, the predictions of the coronavirus outbreak and murder hornet invasion came from a 1993 episode but finally became real in 2020.
The Simpsons predictions coming true again and again prove that this is more than just a TV show. The Simpsons just passed its 30th birthday this past December. It came on air when landlines and CD players were necessities in every household and legwarmers were a viable fashion choice. The Simpsons has been a cultural landmark since before it was even its own show, when the first Simpsons shorts debuted on The Tracy Ullman Show starting in 1987. The shorts became such a phenomenon that they got their own half-hour-long show two years later.
I searched YouTube and Google and gathered all the predictions I could find. I thought it would be cool to map the amount of time between the episode air date and the date when the prediction came true.
The best game commentary is when Grayson tells Marge his own very twisted backstory, which, again, is probably funnier because it should be true. There should be a football academy to snatch up young Texans while they are still in the development stage and train them in an all-football environment until legal age to play. It would work, and the proof is that the players get into Alabama Tech with degrees in Communications. It is perfect Simpsons logic in an imperfect world. It also may be one of their predictions which will come true. So, when Grayson comes to play for Springfield, he is truly off the right farm.
