    I am deeply saddened with the loss of my friend of 45 years, Hilda was the first person to greet me when I attended my first meeting of the Camera Club of Ottawa (CCO) in 1970.
    She was the longest term member of the CCO having joined in 1952. She was an active member and marvelous photographer. Hilda and her Hasselblad camera did wonderful studio studies of cats. But I will remember her for her beautiful portraits of First Peoples. Hilda traveled from Greenland across North America recording these peoples.
    Hilda was loved by all that met her, I am saddened with her passing but I am far richer having known her.
