    Not exactly. That is only true provided they find a spouse of the opposite sex.

    I am not sure how many of the homosexual community would say that is what they were working toward, and they might find your claim a little disingenuous.
    I don't give a fig what they're "working toward." The regular bleat is that they want "the same rights to marry as everyone else." They have them, and have had them as far back as I can remember.

    Same-sex marriages are only legally performed in Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and D.C.. The Prop 8 Appeal ruling in California is still pending.

    There are a few states which will recognize same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions, with various caveats.
    My guess is that eventually the "same-sex marriage" fad will die out like the hula hoop, and all that will return to normal.
